YOUNG FARMERS FORUM

“The Future of Irrigation II”

The NSW Irrigators’ Council (NSWIC) is hosting a two day forum in Canberra, ACT on 15 & 16 March 2012, specifically designed for young farmers.

This Federally funded program is open to all young famers in Australia, both men and women, between the ages of 18 to 30 who are involved in farming / irrigation. The two day forum will provide participants with information and opportunities to continue developing their skills and knowledge in areas which are vital to their success and that of the industry.

This forum is targeted at business-related issues, climate and carbon issues, commodity and water trading opportunities, government engagement information and personal development skills, among others. We will also be attending a session of Question Time at Parliament House on the Thursday afternoon.

Costs of attending the forum (accommodation, meals and forum materials) are all included. We are also hoping to organize ground transportation to and from the event from certain locations or reimbursing a portion of airline costs. Details will be advised.

As the final details of the forum are not yet set, we are asking for an expression of interest in participating at this time. There is no commitment entered into by returning this form, it simply means we keep you updated on the forum as it develops and the final details are confirmed.

The official registration will begin in January and will be on a “first come first served” basis, with those who registered their interest with this form being advised first.

We look forward to you joining us in Canberra, March 2012!
